Photo Gallery | 7 arrested during raid of suspected drug house

BETHLEHEM - Deputies arrested seven people following a two month investigation into a suspected drug house in the Bethlehem community.

The Alexander County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at a home on Colts Neck Lane on December 1.

Investigators said several prescription medications were being sold from the home.

25-year old Sirena D. Watson, 28-year-old Jody Travis Carlton and 36-year-old Tabitha Dawn Carlton were arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Tabitha Carlton received an additional charge of Sell and Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance.

Watson and Jody Carlton were released on a $500.00 unsecured bond and Tabitha Carlton was placed under a $5,000.00 secured bond.

On December 5, four more people were charged in connection to the Colts Neck Lane drug raid.

Penny Joy McDaniel, 64, Christopher Damion Lail, 29, Anthony Rashad McFarland, 26, and Hubert Lee Carlton Jr., 50, were each charged with Conspire to Traffic Opium, Possession with Intent to Sell, Manufacture, and Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance and Maintain a Dwelling House to Sell a Controlled Substance.

McDaniel, Lail, McFarland and Carlton were given a $20,000 bond. They have a first court appearance scheduled for December 12.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this investigation by the Taylorsville Police Department, NC State Highway Patrol, NC Air Raid, Alexander County Animal Control, Alexander County DSS, ALE and the Alexander County Emergency Management Office.
