ALEXANDER COUNTY - The Alexander County Sheriff's Office released the sheriff's office recent arrests on November 4.

Bobby Gray Whiteside, 43, of Taylorsville was arrested October 27, 2011.  He was charged with being a Fugitive from Las Vegas.  Mr. Whiteside was placed under a $100,000.00 bond.  Trial date was October 31, 2011.

Jason Duane Parkhurst, 34, of Granite Falls was arrested October 27, 2011.  He was charged with Extortion.  Mr. Parkhurst was placed under a $50,000.00 bond.  Trial date was October 31, 2011.

Casey Allan Kerley, 30, of Taylorsville was arrested October 30, 2011.  He was charged with Breaking Entering and Larceny.  Mr. Kerley was given a written promise to appear by the magistrate.  Trial date was October 31, 2011.

Benjamin Matthew Atkins, 23, of Asheboro was arrested October 30, 2011.  He was charged with Larceny, Possession of Stolen property and Cruelty to Animals.  Mr. Atkins bond was placed under a $7000.00 bond.  Trial date set for December 12, 2011.

Steve W Wellman, 55, of Taylorsville was arrested October 31, 2011.  He was charged with Larceny.  Mr. Wellman was placed under a $1500.00 bond.  Trial date set for December 12, 2011.

Marcus Gunnar McDowell, 19, of Taylorsville was arrested November 1, 2011.  He was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting an Officer.  Mr. McDowell was placed under a $5000.00 bond.  Trial date set for December 5, 2011.

James Francis McArdle, 45, of Statesville was arrested November 2, 2011.  He was charged with Obtain property by a false pretense and Larceny by Employee.  Bond was set at $5000.00.  Trial date set for November 7, 2011.

Kelly Renee Collins, 27, of Taylorsville was arrested November 3, 2011.  She was charged with three counts of Uttering a Forged Instrument and Larceny.  Mrs. Collins was placed under a $5000.00 bond.  Her trial date is set for November 7, 2011.

Teddy Lee Bentley, 29, of Hiddenite was arrested November 3, 2011.  He is charged with Violation of Pre trial release.  Mr. Bentley was placed under a $50,000.00 bond.  Trial date set for January 9, 2011

Joshua David Byrd, 26, of Hickory was arrested November 3, 2011.  He is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Mr. Byrd was placed under a $2000.00 bond.  Trial date set for November 7, 2011.
