WBTV Furry Friends: Bobbi needs a loving home

WBTV Furry Friends: Bobbi needs a loving home

ALEXANDER COUNTY - My name is Bobbi because I’m a fluffy bobtail kitty who is around a year old. I came to the shelter with my two kittens, and I’m the only one left for adoption now.

The good news is that now I am spayed and won’t be having any more kittens.

WBTV Furry Friends: Cotton the social butterfly

ALEXANDER COUNTY (Alexander County Animal Care and Adoption Center) - My name is Cotton, a 9-month-old social butterfly.

My favorite thing to do is lounge around the office of the animal shelter, with the window sill being my preferred spot. If I ever start to feel neglected, I am quick to remind everyone that I’m in the room and that I need a little more attention (Most of the time they accommodate my wishes).

They found me as a stray on Dover Church Road but were convinced I belonged to someone because I am a social butterfly. But, no one ever came to claim me.

ALEXANDER COUNTY (Alexander County Animal Care and Adoption Center) - My name is Ross, and I am a one-year-old Blue Heeler mix. When you meet me, the first thing you’ll notice is how peppy and positive I am about life.

I make friends really easily—maybe because I am so much fun to play with or maybe because I am intuitive about the feelings of others.

The folks at the shelter think that I’m quiet compared to the other residents, but really I just talk when I have something important to say. They also think that I’m intelligent because I pick up on instructions very quickly.

WBTV Furry Friends: Vada's a laid back gal ready for a new home

ALEXANDER COUNTY - I am Vada, a 5-year-old Feist mix, and I am searching for a full-time human belly rubber who has a very soft sofa to share with me. I’m not too picky about most things in life. I enjoy playing with other dogs, but I’m not too keen on cats. Yet, you seldom ever hear me complaining (barking).

I’ve got to say that I’m not very happy about my current situation, being in the shelter. Still, I’m a “glass half full” kind of gal. I have faith that someone is going to fall in love with me, even though there’s a lot of me to love, and offer to be my full-time human belly rubber.

You’ll hardly know that I’m around because I am so quiet. And, I know that I have a little bit of a weigh issue, but I am working on that. I am not a debutante or a demanding girl. My only request is for a home filled with love and maybe some treats every now and then. Oh, and don’t forget the belly rubs.

WBTV Furry Friends: This girl wants to have fun... and a home!

ALEXANDER COUNTY - My name is Leigha, which means “delicate” in Hebrew. The guy with the uniform found me around Lee Mathison Road when I was just over two months old. I’m now five months old and growing up to be a beauty.

I just don’t understand why he jailed me in this tiny kitty condo. I want to be free to explore all the mysteries of my world?

ALEXANDER COUNTY (Alexander County Animal Care and Adoption Center) - I am Hugh, a 5-year-old Great Pyrenees mix. Don’t let my size intimidate you. I’m as gentle as a Panda bear and have those same colors, black and cream.

Folks at the shelter started calling me Big Boy after they picked me up near Cheatham Ford Road in early September. I enjoy long walks… maybe that is how I ended up lost on that long country road. They tell me that I’m intelligent and beautiful, even though I need some grooming at the moment. Oh, I really groove belly rubs, too.
